Brad Whiting founded OEM, Inc. in 1974 to design and manufacture scientific instruments. From building one of a kind scientific instruments for a research project to manufacturing material testing equipment, OEM, Inc. has earned a reputation for outstanding responsiveness to customer needs.

OEM achieves high levels of customer satisfaction through teamwork and an unending commitment to quality. The international asphalt pavement industry recognizes OEM as an innovative supplier of material testing equipment.

By applying its years of experience with electromechanical systems to designing asphalt mixture testing equipment, OEM offers cost effective, reliable solutions for characterizing low temperature performance and determining mechanical properties.

Located close to the Oregon State University Campus in Corvallis, OSU and OEM regularly cooperate in the development of new processes and equipment. Beyond Corvallis our many customers include universities, agencies and laboratories located around the world.

In 2011 OEM executed an exclusive worldwide distributor relationship for its asphalt pavement testing products with Cooper Technology of the UK. Beginning with the Asphalt Pavement Thermal Test System (APTTS), Cooper Technology is actively promoting OEM’s products to the asphalt pavement community.
